Install the samba server in Ubuntu 14.10 and 14.10 samba
1. Install samba

$ Sudo apt-get install samba

2. Edit the configuration table

Add the following SECTION at the end of $ vi/etc/samba/smb. conf:
[Home]
Comment = workplace
Browseable = yes
Writeable = yes
Path =/home/
Valid users = smb

3. Create an smb User and change the password:

Sudo useradd smb
Sudo smbpasswd-a smb

4. modify directory permissions:
Chmod 777/home-R

5. Restart the smbd Server:

/Etc/init. d/smbd restart
