Install the SendMail component in the VPS in Centos to enable WordPress to send emails

1. In the putty link:

Yum install sendmail

2. Start SendMail:

Service sendmail start

3. Check whether SendMail is listening for the default port 25:

Netstat-anp | grep sendmail

4. Add Automatic startup (If your VPS memory is small, you can leave it unselected, but remember to enter this code every time you restart the host !)

Chkconfig sendmail on

5. modify the configuration in php. ini to call the PHP function and send an email:

Vim/usr/local/php/etc/php. ini

Find the line related to sendmail_path, remove the first comment of the line, and modify it:

Sendmail_path =/usr/sbin/sendmail-I-t after modification, remember to restart php.
