Next, set sharing in the VM. VM → setting → options → sharedfolders → add → select the folder to be shared and name it → OK, VMware will automatically mount this folder to the/mnt/HGFS directory. OK to finish!

This problem is occasionally discovered as follows:

1. This sharing has nothing to do with whether the Windows Server service is enabled, that is, it is different from the common windows and Windows sharing.

2. Sharing is related to the fact that the built-in firewall allows sharing. I have enabled the built-in firewall, that is, to enable sharing in the local connection. Otherwise, what will happen, just now, I didn't have any content in HGFS. I restarted Linux once after the built-in firewall allowed this sharing. Now, Hoho!

3. Now, when two folders are dragging files, you can drag the files from windows to Linux, but when you drag the files from Linux to Windows, an error message is displayed: the target location does not have enough space. Nnd! I have set writable permissions in the VM, set writable permissions for the Windows directory, assign all permissions to everyone, and grant all permissions to the VMware user. This problem still persists and is very depressing. Finally, I tried to create a new folder in the folder shared by/mnt/HGFS, which indicates that the folder can be written. Then I copied the Linux stuff to the Windows directory using the CP command, yeah! This may be a bug. CP is acceptable. If you drag the copy, an error is returned!

4. The support for Chinese characters on the terminal is not very good. Windows files with Chinese characters are displayed in Linux ......... So if you want to write Linux Dongdong CP to Windows, you 'd better name it without Chinese characters. In addition, for example, if a notepad with Chinese characters (with Chinese characters in content) in Linux is opened in Windows using notepad, the format is no longer available. In windows, a black box is used to replace the line feed in Linux, in this way, you can use the WordPad to view the original format, but the Chinese characters are terrible! You can recover both of them ......... :)

5. This sharing is currently in use and will be used for samba or FTP later :)
