Intel has acquired 89% stake in Wind River software

"Sina Science and Technology," Beijing time July 11 morning news, according to foreign media reports, the world's largest computer chip manufacturer Intel announced that the takeover software manufacturer Wind River system Company's validity period expired in Thursday.

Intel said in June this year that it was prepared to buy the Wind river at a price of 11.50 dollars per share. At this price, Intel's bid is up to $884 million. The Wind River software was originally used to help big director Francis Ford-Coppola (Francis Ford Coppola) for film editing, and has since been applied to NASA Mars Rovers, fighter control panels, TV set-top boxes and mobile devices.

Intel announced in Friday that a total of 69 million wind River shares were subject to an offer, accounting for about 89% of its common stock.

Intel said it was prepared to launch another takeover to eventually bring the remaining shares of the Wind River into the bag. A new round of acquisitions began in Friday and ended 12 o'clock noon on July 15.
