Internet solution: Connection and Configuration

1. Proxy Server
Use the proxy server software to configure the HTTP Proxy server in the browser to connect to the Internet. Implement proxy functions for the application layer high-level protocols such as HTTP and FTP. This is generally an old and inefficient Internet access solution and is not recommended.

2. Use the "Internet Connection Sharing" of windows to access the Internet through dual Nic machines. In this way, you do not need to install additional software, which is easy to configure and manage, but has poor control functions and low efficiency. More than a dozen machines are used.

3. Use the NAT service to implement transparent proxy
NAT service software can be used to configure the TCP/IP protocol for the network layer and implement firewall functions such as Internet access control. It is a professional Internet access networking solution that can be implemented in Windows and Linux.

4. Use Professional Software
For example, Microsoft's isa2004 software or osrouter can implement Internet access and monitoring. The underlying layer of these software is generally implemented through NAT technology, but its control functions need to be improved a lot. These software is very professional and generally not free, so large enterprises use more.

5. ADSL or residential broadband Internet access solution
By using broadband cats and using dial-up software in the OS, you can use the pppoe protocol to dial up the Internet. To enable multiple machines to access the Internet, you can build a gateway through a router with the pppoe dialing function to guide other machines to access the Internet.
Router devices:
1. the router device has the cat, dial-up software, and routing functions at the same time. The access interface is the telephone line interface and the egress is several (4 ~ Eight or so) RJ45 interface, connected to lan;
2. the broadband cat and the router are separated, and the broadband cat is imported into the telephone line interface. The router device has the dialing software and routing functions. The interface is the RJ45 network interface of the upper-level broadband cat, and the egress is a number (4 ~ Eight or so) RJ45 interface, connected to the LAN; residential broadband imports are similar to the broadband cat outlet, connected with a network cable.
ADSL or residential broadband is currently the mainstream connection solution for home Internet access. Whether it is an optical fiber or other wide-area network in the middle of China Telecom, the interface for home users is either a 2-core telephone line or a 8-core common network cable. You can select one of the above two vrouters for multi-host internet access.
The above vro also implements Simple Firewall and other network management functions, depending on the model of the device. Of course, the more expensive features will be more, pay attention to the instructions when buying a device, if you are more concerned about the function, it is best to check the model on the network and then purchase by model. Ordinary counters sell less functions because they are cheap and easy to sell.
