IPhone 5 No novelty--apple seems to be laurels

I think a lot of people will feel the same way about me after the iphone 5 is released--disappointment. In addition to the hardware and the shape of the changes, there is little new (no wonder some people say that the iphone 5 is the elongated version of the iphone 4S). Although the operating system is the latest iOS 6, an older version of the iphone can also be upgraded to iOS 6. Apple seems to have begun to laurels.

In fact, when the iphone 4S was released, there was already such a trend. The iphone 4S doesn't have much to do with the iphone 4, but it does add a thing that Siri didn't have in the last generation. But the iphone 5 features almost no difference with the iphone 4S. Perhaps Steve Jobs's departure also took Apple's ideas away. So that they can only be in the appearance and hardware of the fuss. Iphnoe 5 gives you the deepest impression also only: lighter, thinner and bigger screen. In addition, there is no place for commendable.

Apple, which earns most of its revenue from the iphone, is different from other companies that take a naval tactic, and it has only one phone. Now, the only mobile phone, also fell into a hardware-only upgrade of the cliché. In my blog, "The future of the IT industry will be the software industry" has pointed out: the hardware is external, software system is the real core competitiveness. And the iphone can be in the field of mobile phones, the ipad can be opened in the Tablet era, iOS good user experience is a must. I have always believed that Apple, like the IT industry's Mr. Fashion, has its products that are really outmanoeuvred in appearance and industrial design than other companies. The iphone is actually a bit more expensive than the other phones (of course, the price is much higher). However, when the iphone has become an arcade, Apple relies on what attracts people to buy the new iphone. Just rely on hardware lifting and appearance changes. What's the difference between that and what other handset makers are doing? If only by "fruit powder" enthusiasm, that can support how long?

In fact, I haven't been thinking about Apple's innovations on the iphone. They just put the existing technology together, plus a beautiful look. The real reason for the iphone and ipad's popularity is software: A good user experience with iOS and a huge amount of apps in the App Store. With the system upgrade, iphone 4 and iphone 4S users can enjoy similar or even the same experience with the iphone 5. I think, if not very enthusiastic "fruit powder", is not going to pay to update their iphone.

I feel that Apple is a bit like Nokia today. The Symbian system was almost eminence, and Nokia was at its zenith, and the Symbian system was a plethora of applications. But Nokia is still on its laurels, which has led to today's situation. I don't know if Nokia can make a comeback on Windows Phone 8 like Motorola with Android, but it has brought a warning to all handset makers that laurels is not going to work just because of its own brilliance. and the iphone 5 's release gives me the impression that Apple seems to have been able to bring exciting products to everyone as it did in previous years. This is perhaps the development of mobile phones to all today's manufacturers have encountered the bottleneck it. I wonder if there will be a company that has brought an innovation to the handset industry as Apple launched the iphone. Perhaps Google Glass is the future of personal mobile device development (see blog post "Google glass--personal mobile device innovation").

These are my views as an IT practitioner on the iphone 5 release, perhaps biased, "fruit powder" to see do not spray.
