1. What is Lenovo Cloud Disk?

 

A: Lenovo Cloud disk is an Internet cloud service product tailored by Lenovo Group for Lenovo PC devices. It provides Internet services for users to store, back up, and share data. Lenovo computer devices and Lenovo Cloud disks are deeply bound. Not only can users access the information on their computers anytime, anywhere through different devices, the cloud service features can also be used by other random software such as "intelligent machine replacement" and "image Master (PhotoMaster)" to provide users with a better user experience.

 

Note: currently, Lenovo Cloud disks are only available for Lenovo computer users of specified models. Currently, the supported models are Lenovo XiaoXin Air 13. If you are prompted that you cannot obtain the Lenovo Cloud Disk privilege during registration, check whether your computer is a specified device.

 

2. What is the Lenovo account?

 

A: Lenovo account is a unified identity authentication system for Lenovo. Users only need to register a Lenovo account to use it in all Lenovo services. Lenovo Cloud Disk accounts are Lenovo accounts.

 

3. How to activate Lenovo Cloud services?

 

A: log on to the Lenovo Cloud Disk client with the Lenovo account on the Lenovo computer of a specific model to activate the Lenovo Cloud service. Only one Lenovo account can be activated for each device.

4. What is the difference between Lenovo Cloud Disk and other personal network disks?

(4) permanent retrieval of deleted files: deleted files can be retrieved permanently, and historical files can be retrieved permanently. Shared files can be accessed for unlimited periods.

 

5. Which operating systems and browsers can Lenovo Cloud disks run?

 

A: Windows 10 is supported. IE (IE9 or later), Google Chrome, and Edge can run stably after tests. Other browsers may have compatibility issues. Therefore, we recommend that you use the recommended configuration for a better user experience.

 

6. What are synchronous disks and what are the functions of synchronous disks?

 

A: The synchronized disk is a cloud disk file that is fully synchronized with the local computer file. After you create a synchronization disk for a folder, a drive letter with the same name will be created on the local computer, you can also view the data synchronized from the cloud disk folder to the local computer in "This computer. When a cloud disk file is deleted, the local file is also deleted. When a local file is deleted, the cloud disk file is also deleted. The data in the synchronization disk is identical with that in the cloud disk, and the data between the two is consistent.

 

7. Sometimes it is slow to log on to Lenovo Cloud Disk. Why?

8. Will data stored on Lenovo Cloud disks be intercepted by criminals?

 

A: your passwords and files are encrypted and stored on the server. Even internal staff cannot obtain your cloud disk data. Therefore, you can use them with confidence.

 

9. Can Lenovo Cloud Disk ensure my privacy?

Upload and download

 

10. What files can I upload?

 

A: Users must abide by the Constitution and relevant laws and regulations promulgated by the Chinese internet. Users are not allowed to upload illegal, pornographic, or copyrighted files. Lenovo Cloud Disk supports the upload function of any format file.

 

11. What are the restrictions on the size of my uploaded files?

 

A: You can directly upload files of any size within the range of your space. However, due to the operating system limitations, the webpage version supports uploading a single file up to 1 GB.

 

12. Can I upload the entire folder?

 

A: Currently, only the PC client supports uploading the entire folder as a directory, but not the Web client.

 

13. Do I support resumable Upload when transferring files?

 

A: Currently, only files transmitted on PC clients support resumable data transfer, but not on the Web.

 

14. Is online browsing supported?

 

A: Lenovo Cloud allows you to quickly view file content online without downloading files. You can browse images, Office documents, and PDF documents online.

 

15. How do I upload files on the client?

 

A: You only need to copy the uploaded files to the "Lenovo Cloud Disk" to automatically upload them to the cloud disk. You can check whether the files (folders) have been uploaded by using the status badge below the file icon.

 

16. How do I download files from the client?

 

A: You only need to save the files to be downloaded to the cloud disk (files uploaded through the mobile phone or web client). The files are automatically downloaded to the local PC cloud disk. If you have set the selective synchronization function, some files (folders) that are not in the selected range will not be downloaded to the local cloud disk.

 

17. Which download tools can be used to download files?

 

A: You can use clients of Lenovo Cloud Disk to download data. If you download data from a webpage, use the download tool provided by your browser. Currently, third-party P2P software is not supported.

 

18. Is there a limit on the upload and download speeds of files?

 

A: Lenovo Cloud disks do not limit the transmission speed of users. However, the speed of file upload and download depends on a variety of factors, including PC configuration and network bandwidth. For users who frequently use ADSL dial-up Internet access, the upload speed and download speed are different. The download speed limit of 2 Mbps is kb/s, and the upload speed limit may be only 64 kB/s, this depends on the transmission bandwidth limited by the network operator.

 

19. Why can't I download uploaded files?

 

A: First, check whether the network connection is normal. Second, check whether the file is completely uploaded. Finally, use the cloud disk client or the download tool that comes with the browser to download the file.

 

Sharing

 

20. Can I share a file or folder with a user who has not registered a Lenovo Cloud Disk?

 

A: Yes. Select the "share" button corresponding to the file, select "Copy" External link in the pop-up window, and then send the external link to the user you want to share it, the other party can directly use this external link for download. If you need to set the download password, you can also select the check box in the pop-up window to set the encryption password. 21. What is the external link validity period?

 

A: When creating a shared external link, you can set the validity period of the shared external link to unlimited or the date after the user creates the external link. You can only log on to the external link within the validity period of the external link to upload or download the link.

 

22. How can I modify the validity period of the shared outer link?

 

A: go to the "my shares" page, select "expiration date" in settings, and select a date in the displayed calendar interface to complete the validity period setting.

 

23. How can I invalidate a generated external link?

 

A: use the web version to go to the "my shares" page, click the "delete" button of the corresponding external link, and click "OK.

 

24. Why can't I share some files on the PC client cloud disk?

 

A: The PC client only supports file sharing that has been synchronized, that is, displaying the file with the synchronized badge. The file cannot be shared if the synchronization is not completed or the synchronization error file is not synchronized. If you cancel the synchronization of the file in the selected synchronization directory, the file cannot be shared.

25. On the web end, log out of the account on the "personal data" page, and on the Web end, log out of the cloud disk?

 

A: log out of the account on the personal data page. The Web cloud disk is still logged on.

 

26. Why does the "network error" or "loading cloud disk failed" prompt appear when the PC client is in normal network conditions?

 

A: It may be because the system modification time is later than the current time after the account is logged on to the PC client. We recommend that you do not modify the system time at will.

 

27. Why is there no "from mobile phone" file in Lenovo Cloud Disk?

 

A: If you have backed up photos on the "cloud service" on your mobile phone, a "from mobile phone" folder will be generated in the local cloud disk directory, and the album on the mobile phone will be backed up. The folder is also synchronized to the Lenovo Cloud Disk.
