Many friends on the Internet are worried about the partition of the ThinkPad series of computer disks they have bought. Lenovo officially did not provide a clear and detailed solution.
Solution: I just bought a ThinkPad computer some time ago to solve this problem, so I plan to write it out and share it with the fans. Encounter
In this case, I first thought of asking my friends who have used ThinkPad to solve the partition problem.
. So I searched for a solution on the top of the ThinkPad forums on the Internet. After I tried it myself, I summed up a data disk and backed up it.
Disk, which is directly partitioned by using the disk management software provided by Windows 7.
Let's talk about the configuration of my computer. The ThinkPad E40 M69 model is pre-installed with a genuine win7 home system with a disk capacity of 500 GB.
A c disk is used by default.
When we start the computer for the first time, we need to configure some information. After configuration, enter the Windows 7 OS desktop, right-click the "computer" icon, and select
Choose "manage" To Go To The following interface: (Note: I have already divided the items here. The default F and E disks are not available)
Right-click the window7_ OS disk block and select "volume compression option" to go to the following page: When you first enter, you will find that the available compression volume is only half of the time capacity. For example, your c disk has 500 GB, but it can be compressed here.
The space is shown to be 250 GB. I guess this is because, when you configure the operating system, some data written disk blocks are not continuous, that is, not closely together, assuming the operating system in the chunk1-100, however, if some of your configuration data is written at the chunk1000 location, the middle part cannot be compressed. How can we store these data together in a centralized manner? This requires the "one-click restoration" feature provided by Lenovo. After you restart your computer, press the system restore key and find that the option does not have the "one-click Restore" column. This is because Lenovo does not install this function for you by default, after entering win7, click Lenovo thinkvantage tools Program To go to the interface:
Click "Enhanced Backup and restoration" to install the rescue and recovery program. After the installation is complete, restart the computer. This time, the system has the "one-click Restore" function. Press F11 to start the system at startup (the FN and F11 keys are pressed together ), then begin restoring the system. After restoration, compress the volume according to the method described above. This time, a large amount of space on the C disk can be compressed. (In your computer, there are no disks E and F, and there are only Windows 7_ OS and available space in the middle.) After compression, you can right-click the "available space, click "create simple volume" in the pop-up menu and allocate the size as prompted. No other disks are required.
Partition tool, you can divide your hard disk into several logical zones.
