Lenovo G485 models recommend installing the Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating system. If you have a Windows XP-based system, the official driver provides only basic support for the new model and does not guarantee that all features under the XP system are available.
Lenovo G485 brightness adjustment can be used in the following two ways. If all is not valid, please contact your local Lenovo Service center.
Method One:
After the computer is booted into the system, press the "FN" button in the lower left corner of the keyboard, then press the UP ARROW key "↑" (Raise the screen brightness) or the next arrow key "↓" (Reduce the screen brightness). The keyboard key position is shown in the following figure:
Method Two:
Win7 or WIN8 system, open the computer---Control Panel---View mode (large icon)---Power options, at the bottom of the open window, "screen brightness" visible adjustment slider, swipe left and right to adjust the screen brightness. (Win8 for example):
If you find that adjusting the screen brightness is not valid in either of these ways, open Control Panel---program---uninstaller, and in the list of programs listed, check for the AMD Catalyst Install Manager program option, as shown in the following figure:
If you have this program, click the right mouse button on this program, select "Uninstall", follow the Prompts wizard uninstall complete, restart the computer, and then according to your system type, select the video driver link at the end of this article, download the video driver and install.
If you do not have this program, please select the video driver link at the end of this article according to your system type, download the video driver and install it.
