The main interface of power management V8.0 is as follows:
The figure is only a schematic diagram. The actual picture is mainly a program.
Power supply mode ():
Energy saving:In this mode, your laptop is in the lowest performance and most energy-saving status, click apply this mode.
(Note: If the performance is the lowest, but the power consumption is the lowest, this mode ensures that the maximum endurance is obtained when the battery is used .)
Balance:In this mode, your laptop is in a balanced performance and energy saving status, and click apply this mode.
(Note: a balance between use time and performance can be achieved to achieve better performance and ensure that the battery time is long enough .)
High performance:In this mode, your laptop is in the optimal performance state, and click apply this mode.
(Note: let the computer handle high-speed computing speed, the performance is fully loaded, but it also has a very high power consumption. This mode is generally used when an external power supply is connected .)
Overclocking:In this mode, your laptop will be in the super-powerful performance, click to apply this mode. This mode is automatically hidden when the model does not support this mode.
(Note: the computing speed is higher than that of high-performance computers. Common users may not feel obvious. It is generally used by programs with very high requirements for playing large games. It is also best to connect the external power supply .)
Note:The overclocking mode is invalid only when the battery is powered.
Battery (B ):
Battery modeB-1 ):
To maximize the battery life, we will optimize the battery. Please carefully read the precautions in this mode before selecting this mode. At the same time, the software automatically detects users' battery habits and provides suggestions for the battery maintenance mode to help prolong the battery life. We will provide two battery use modes: maximum endurance and optimal battery life.
Maximum battery duration: The maximum battery duration in this mode. Note that this mode cannot optimize the battery cycle.
Optimal Battery life: if you use a power adapter, but only occasionally use a battery, the battery is often in the 100% status, but the lifetime decay speed will increase. In this mode, the battery can be recharged to 60% to improve the attenuation of the cell, prolong the battery life, and better protect your battery.
Battery correctionB-2 ):
To make your battery display more accurate by the real-time percent value after a period of use, we introduced the battery accuracy correction function, before starting the correction, you must note that this function will be executed: full charge once and full discharge once.
This process may take several hours. During this period, do not unplug the power supply and battery, and do not use a computer. Before proceeding, close all applications and access the external power.
Note:If the battery changes to sleep, sleep, or shutdown, battery correction stops. This function will completely discharge the battery and charge the battery. It can solve the problem that a battery has been used for a long time, resulting in abnormal use time. Generally, this operation is not recommended.
Battery InformationB-3 ):
On the battery information page, you can view the current battery charging status and battery health status. You can select #1 and #2 for multiple batteries.
Fan dust removal(C ):
Fan dust removal: dust removal is performed on the fan through the combination of software and hardware (when the model does not support this function, the module displays the gray non-click status ).
After you click "Start", the CPU fan will work at a fixed frequency to blow the dirt in the heat sink module. Frequent operations are not recommended.
Smart power saving(D ):
Hard drive power saving: Use a smart optimization system to save power on hard disks. This feature is enabled by default, but only valid in balanced mode and powered only by battery.
Brightness power saving: Automatic brightness adjustment: The Notebook can automatically adjust the screen brightness according to the strength of the external environment light, to protect the eyes and energy.
Update rate: Select this function to reduce the screen update rate to a lower level to achieve power-saving effect.
Optical drive power saving: There is no interface for setting this function. When the machine supports this function and the built-in optical drive is idle for 3 minutes in battery mode, the optical drive automatically enters the energy-saving status, which can save power for your notebook, after the optical drive enters the energy-saving status, double-click the optical drive icon in the "My Computer" window or press the optical drive button to activate the optical drive.
CPU power saving: There is no configuration interface for this function. This function is enabled only when the server supports the balanced mode and the battery status is powered. The system automatically increases or reduces the CPU frequency based on the user's real-time working status, without affecting performance, the battery life can be prolonged by maximizing power saving.
Note:: This function is automatically hidden when some functions are not supported. If none are supported, the entire smart power-saving module is hidden.
Power management mode for Windows 8:
Like Windows 7 and Windows 8, you can refer to the following settings. Click the power icon in the lower-right corner of the system, as shown in the following figure:
You can select a power plan or click more power options (the same name as the options in Lenovo power management). The following figure is displayed:
You can perform more detailed settings here. You can click more plan settings in the corresponding mode, as shown in the following figure:
You can set it as needed, and change the advanced power settings as shown in the following figure:
You can perform more detailed settings here, which is the power management of the Windows 8 system.
