Linux permission management

• Chgrp: Change the group to which the archive belongs
  • # Chgrp [-R] group dirname/filename...
• Chown: Change the archive owner
  • # Chown [-R] account name file name or directory
  • # Chown [-R] Account name: group name file name or directory
• Chmod: unusual changes to file permissions, such as SUID, SGID, and SBIT
• Numeric Type Change permission

# Chmod [-R] xyz file name or directory

• R: 4
• W: 2
• X: 1

Owner = rwx = 4 + 2 + 1 = 7
Group = rwx = 4 + 2 + 1 = 7
Others = --- = 0 + 0 + 0 = 0

• • Change the permission of the symbol type

Chmod	U	+ (Join) -() = (SET)	R W X	File or directory

# Chmod u = rwx, go = rx file name

# Chmod a-x file name (all identity users get the execution permission)
