When I started using it, I always felt that there was a problem with the display. Based on experience, it was caused by improper system resolution settings. Enable displays to set the system resolution. The result is only one resolution of 800 × 600. It seems that like overlord clauses, This Is A overlord resolution and there is no way to choose it.

I started to think that the VM memory is too small, so I adjusted the memory size from the default 12 MB to 64 MB. After restarting the VM, I set the system resolution, the Overlord resolution is still in progress.

I searched for some methods. Most of the solutions are: Install the Virtual Machine enhancement package. I installed the Virtual Machine enhancement package, and the Overlord resolution is still in progress. It seems that this has become a special problem.

Now we can see that this overlord has a powerful resolution and can only be solved by myself. Once again, Let's develop Grandpa Mao's spirit of doing his best. I checked the currently installed virtual machine version: virtualbox_4.3.18. Go to the official virtualbox website and check whether this version was released around October 2014. It is not a stable version, but it is stored in the Linux software source, therefore, this version is installed by default when I use the command apt-get install. I plan to upgrade the virtualbox version to try it. After all, it will be released in Ubuntu14.04 on July 15, April 2014, and there will be further modifications, it may be incompatible with virtualbox of this version. Therefore, I use the command again for installation, but this time I specified the installation version:

apt-get install virtualbox-5.0。

The latest version is 5.0, but it is a pity that it has not been added to the Linux software source and has not been certified, so it is very difficult to download. Finally, I gave up the command installation method and prepared to use the deb package for installation.

Because different methods are used for installation, uninstall the old version of virtualbox before installation. The detailed method is as follows:

1. apt-get remove virtualbox. 2. Uninstall other software automatically installed with virtualbox (a prompt will be displayed ). These three packages are used: libcurl3, libgsoap4, and libvncserver0 3 to clear the installation file.

Install vituralbox 5.0

1.Download the installation package.
Download path: http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.0.14 /.
Virtualbox-5.0_5.0.14-105127 ~ Ubuntu ~ Trusty_i386.deb and VBoxGuestAdditions_5.0.14.iso (this is the virtualbox enhancement package) both need to be downloaded. If you want virtualbox to automatically download the enhancement package, it will be stored in the hidden path (home/usr_name /. config/VirtualBox/), which is not convenient for searching. Therefore, it is best to download and install it on your own. 2Install the deb package.
You can double-click the package file in deb format to install the package. Here, the package installer is used. We recommend that you run the following command to install the SDK:

dpkg -i packagename。

After the installation is complete, the virtualbox icon is displayed in the system application menu. When version 4.3.18 is installed, the system displays the icon in the attachment menu. After version 5.0 is installed, the icon is displayed in the system management menu.
