Linux Mint 's sqldeveloper installation
The best Oracle development tool for Linux is probably sqldeveloper .
First download Sqldeveloper on Oracle official website,
After downloading, check if your linux has tar and alien installed
sudo Install Tar sudo Install Alien
After executing the prompt is already the latest version of the instructions have been installed,
So then we're going to start installing sqldeveloper, keeping it in the specified directory,
Under Terminal execution:
CD/downloadsudo alien-cv sqldeveloper-2.1. 1.64. 1. noarch.rpm
This command compiles the file into sqldeveloper_2.1.1.64.45-2_all.deb
Then execute the command.
sudo dpkg-i sqldeveloper_2. 1.1. 64.45-2_all.deb
--------------------
sqldeveloper installed may not open properly, there may be no JDK environment, or sqldeveloper.conf jdk directory settings need to be modified
1 apt-cache search default-jdk23sudoinstall default-jdk
At this point the JDK directory is :/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64
The file system searches for the location of the sqldeveloper.conf , because each machine file is located in a different location.
Mine is under the/opt/sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin.
cd/opt/sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/binsudo gedit sqldeveloper.conf
If the gedit is not installed,
sudo Install gedit
After the installation in the execution of the above command to modify the sqldeveloper.conf, or with VI modification is also OK.
Modify setjavahome. /.. /jvm
Save for Setjavahome/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64 .
When you run the sqldeveloper , you can open it normally ....
