Users who want to run Linux applications on Mac computers have reason to be excited. The Linux GTK software development framework has been transplanted to Mac OS X. GTK-based applications can now run on Mac machines.
Although the most commonly used graphic environment in Linux is GNOME, The GTK environment is also one of the indispensable application development environments. For example, GIMP is a good program in Linux.
However, the problem is that the GTK +-based framework and basic functions are not displayed correctly on Mac. Some basic menu elements have not been migrated. For example, the toolbar above is displayed on the OS X interface, rather than the real GTK menu interface.
However, the GTK team has realized this and started to solve these problems. Currently, GTK + is obviously the best choice for Linux enthusiasts on Mac computers.
