The way to choose to install partitions and partitions is to install the key steps of Linux, do not want to lose hard disk data, should be careful to choose.

If you select Automatic partitioning, there will be three options:

1, delete all Linux partitions on the hard drive;

2, delete all partitions in the hard drive;

3. Use the unallocated space on the hard disk to install the system.

Use Disk Druid manual partitioning to partition as you wish.

Here select "Use Disk Druid for manual partitioning." Select "Use Disk Druid for manual partitioning" and click "Next" button to appear as shown in the following figure.

The figure above lists all partition details on the hard disk (my hard disk is not partitioned here). Here you are ready to divide your hard disk into three partitions: the first approximately 8G is used to install the system, the second is approximately 512MB (memory twice times) as the swap area, and the remaining space is given to the third partition.

Click "Idle" in the list of partitions, then click the "Edit" button, and the following image appears

mount point in pop-up window select "/", File system Type "ext3", size "8000" as shown in the following figure.

Then click the "Yes" button, as shown in the following image.

Visible from above: The first partition has been built. Next click "Idle" in the partition list and click on the "Edit" button to show the following image

In the pop-up window, the mount point column is not selected, the file system type "swap", the size of "512" as shown in the following figure.

Click the "Yes" button, as shown in the following image.

As can be seen from the above figure: the swap area has been built. Next, you will have all the remaining space as a zone, click "Idle" again in the partition list, and then click on the "Edit" button, as shown in the following figure.

In the pop-up window mount the point of the column select "/d" (because the partition that holds the data, name can be customized, but to be preceded by "/", the File system type Select "Ext3", the size of a column regardless of it instead of directly check "use all available space", select the results shown in the following figure.

Click the "Yes" button, as shown in the following image.

Visible from the above figure: three partitions are built and formatted. Click Next to continue, the following figure appears

Boot settings: The installation location of the bootstrapper is set to the default value and is installed on the master Boot Record (MBR). Click Next to continue, as shown in the following figure.

The image above is a network setting. Click the "Edit" button to eject the edit window as shown below

To specify an IP address here, first cancel the "Configure by DHCP" check. As shown in the following figure.

IP address: If multiple machines share a broadband Internet connection, the IP address of the host or broadband router is set to 192.168.1.1 Subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0 other machine IP address to 192.168.1.x (x is 2--255 integer); If it is a single machine with a broadband network, the IP address is set to 169.254.0.1 Subnet mask is 255.255.0.0. This is shown in the following figure.

Click the "Yes" button, as shown in the following image.

The host name is arbitrarily set, the gateway is set as the host IP address, and the intranet is set to 192.168.1.1 the same 169.254.0.1 as the IP address. Then enter a name to interpret the server DNS address. I use the Foshan unicom DNS as shown in the following figure.

Click Next to continue, as shown in the following figure.

To set the password for the system administrator root account, enter the 6-digit password, and then click the Next button to continue, as shown in the following figure.

The installation wizard ends with the next step and there is no room to look back, as shown in the following figure.

The installation process is the longest and appears as shown in the following figure when finished.

Installation is complete, remove the installation disc, click "Next" Setup will restart the computer, restart after the Start menu appears, as shown in the following figure.

The above illustration has three options: the first is normal startup, the second entry is Safe mode (compared to normal startup, increased display settings are adjusted at startup), and the third entry is the Access console (command-line mode).

If you do not make a selection, the default option will automatically start after 10 seconds. Red Flag Linux5.0 Desktop Official version of the boot process appears as shown in the following figure.

This system works very close to the Windows XP system. Read-only for NTFS partitions and can read and write to FAT32 partitions.

Third, uninstall Red Flag Linux Desktop official version of the method

Start into DOS with an MS-DOS boot disk or 98 boot disk, run "fdisk/mbr" to rewrite the master boot record MBR to remove the boot menu and leave only the Windows System option, and then format the Linux5.0 installation partition.
