Linux video recorder Istanbul

With Istanbul, you can record all the operations on the Linux screen. Istanbul can either record full screen, area, or window as needed, or record sound and mouse pointer. Istanbul can be used in GNOME, KDE, Xfce, and other environments.

It is easy to use. After you start Istanbul, click the icon in the system tray to start recording. clicking the icon again will end recording. In this case, save as prompted. Istanbul will eventually generate a video file in the Ogg Theora format.

I found that Py is useful in Ubuntu, and there are more and more desktop tools.

Several experiences:

1. Only the ogg format can be recorded. However, mencoder can convert the video format.

2. Recording desktop sessions. If you do not enable recording for a few seconds in a short time, it is acceptable.

3. For a long time, the desktop effect is brilliant, with sound. After the recording is completed, it takes N long for the video ogg file to be output. During this period, the recording icon is always a disk tag, the system prompts "In process of saving to disk ". I used it to record the compiz snowflake effect, rotate the cube, and enable mplayer to play music.
