Location of ghos Backup System
The system is for Windows xp sp2. After I installed the commonly used software, I used the C drive for 12.8 GB. To avoid unexpected situations in the future, I backed up the system under the ghost, the backup is performed on an F partition whose file format is NTFS. The backup process was smooth, and I was prompted that the backup was successful.
After I started the system, I went to zone F to find the backup file, but I couldn't find it. I didn't find the backup file in other areas.
I entered the ghos software and tried to restore the system. I still couldn't find the backup file.
What is going on? If the backup is successful, where does the backup file go? How can I find this backup file? If the backup fails, how can the backup be successful? I manually backed up the data.
A: the root cause of the problem is that GHOST is compatible with NTFS.
Specific performance:
1. If the hard disk format is NTFS, whether it is 8.3 or 8.2, after the backup is successful, if you do not press QUIT to exit, press ctrl alt del to exit, the backup file is lost, but the space is occupied for no reason.
2. in FAT32 format, no matter how you exit after the backup, there will be no file loss.
We recommend that you log out of the NTFS format in the future during Backup.
Run the chkdsk drive letter:/f to retrieve the gho file.
Select the disk to be backed up, right-click "properties", and choose "Tools"> ""> "" (or both options are selected). Then, check the disk and wait until everything is completed, open disk, day !!! The backup file is out !!!!!
Note: if you cannot perform dedicated access during Disk File System check, ask if you want to check the disk file system during startup. If yes, restart the computer, the disk will be checked. The effect is the same as above and the problem is solved.
