1. Preparation Materials

3. Prepare your Mac to install Windows

The boot Camp Assistant helps you prepare your MAC to install Windows by creating a new partition for Windows, and then starting Windows Setup.

    1. Open the Boot Camp Assistant (located in/Applications/utilities).

    2. On the Introduction screen, click Continue.

    3. In the Install Windows step, click Choose, and then select the ISO image that you created or downloaded from Microsoft.

    4. Specify the partition size by dragging the separator bar between the MacOS partition and the Windows partition.

    5. Click Install.

      Boot Camp Assistant creates a Windows partition named Bootcamp, restarts your Mac, and then opens Windows Setup.

4. Install Windows

Follow these instructions to install Windows on your Mac.

    1. In Windows Setup, follow the onscreen instructions.

    2. If you are prompted to select the installation location for Windows, simply click Next (the installation partition is pre-selected).

      "Warning" do not create or delete partitions, nor select any other partitions. Doing so may delete the entire contents of the MacOS partition.

    3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the Windows installation.

      After you install Windows software, your MAC automatically restarts with Windows.

    4. Use the Windows Setup screen to configure your Windows system.

5. Installing Windows support Software

After the Windows installation is complete, start installing the Boot Camp driver that supports your MAC hardware.

    1. Please follow the onscreen instructions.

      Important Do not click the Cancel button in any of the Setup programs dialog boxes.

      If a message appears telling you that the software you are installing does not pass the Windows logo test, click Continue still.

      You do not need to respond to the Setup dialog box that appears only briefly during installation, but if you have a dialog box that asks you to install the device software, click Install.

      If nothing happens, there may be some hidden windows that you need to respond to. Please look back at the open window.

    2. After the support software finishes installing, click Finish.

    3. After your MAC restarts, follow the instructions for any other setup programs that appear.

    4. Check for updated Windows support software. In MacOS, choose Apple menu > App Store, click Update, and then install all available updates.
