Mac Tutorial: How to view folder size in Finder

Source: Internet
Author: User

for many Mac users, the Finder's list view is a good way to view folders and files, because this view provides a lot of information about folders and files, such as the date of creation and the type of file, and so on.

In fact, the Finder's default list view does not look at the size of the folder, it can only display the size of a single file. Today, let's talk about how to view the size of a folder directly on the Finder in a simple way.

1. Open the Finder.

2. Select "Show"-"for List" in the menu bar.

3. Select "Show"-"View display Options" in the menu bar.

4. Check the "Calculate all sizes" option in the pop-up window.

After we have done this, we can see that the size of all folders is displayed in the column "sizes" next to the category column of a Finder window that has switched to List view.
