Make Iphone[ios] Ringtones with itunes

Environment: OS X 10.9.5 | ITunes 11.4

Step one: Import the MP3 you want to make a ringtone into the itunes library [or play the MP3 directly in itunes, the default itunes will automatically import]

Then, it's a good idea to know when to intercept MP3 (start time and cutoff time) before you operate. Note that the length of time can not be too long, I generated a 45-second ringtone file, when syncing to the iphone, the prompt file time is too long to sync successfully. It is recommended not to exceed 35 seconds.

The second step: Select the song, right-click [show Profile]

In the pop-up window, select the [Options] tab. And tick the Select box for start and stop times, and fill in the time period where you need the ringtone.

Click [OK] to save and exit the window.

Step three: Select the song again, right-click [Create AAC Version]

At this point, a file with the same name is generated, and time is exactly the start and end time you set.

Fourth step: Select the newly generated file, right-click [Show in Finder]

You will find that the suffix of the newly generated file is (. m4a). Change the suffix of this file to (. m4r).

Then, copy the file to the desktop [or other directory]. It is recommended that the database-the file generated in the music [third-step generation] be deleted (the file is moved to the trash)

Fifth step: Use itunes to open the suffix (. m4r) ringtone file. This way, the ringtone file is imported into the database-the ringtone.

Finally, insert your iphone, select the Ringtone tab, tick the Sync ringtone selection box, and sync!

PS: After the ringtone is finished, do not forget to restore the original MP3 file settings, that is, the second step start time and stop time check off. Otherwise, when playing MP3, it plays as long as the ringtone.
