Microsoft's release of Visual Studio 2015 shows the company's work on the development language that has enabled the development tool to be more mainstream. Microsoft Project Manager Jordan Matthiesen has detailed some of the new features that specifically address JavaScript development. Matthiesen explained that his JavaScript tools team focused on improving the editing of products in the JavaScript library, ECMAScript 2015 (formerly ECMAScript 6) language categories, and better managing JavaScript projects.
With regard to library support, VS2015 supports ANGULARJS 1.x and Requirejs directly. Supporting these means that the editor will provide IntelliSense in VS, go to definition and so on, without the need for developers to install additional extensions to support. The VS editor also adds recognition and support for jsdoc comments, so it's easier to write new code or browse library files.
VS2015 's editor now natively supports language constructs (but not all) in ECMAScript 2015. Matthiesen let developers go to the user voice to hold a poll has decided what their team should do next.
JavaScript editing is taking full advantage of the Visual Studio Task List support, so you may now drop notes in the source file (//Todo:or//HACK:), which will also appear in the Task list. This makes it easy to follow up on editing painting in the future. Similarly, since Visual Studio has a good understanding of JavaScript, its navigation bar can provide more convenient navigation in the source file (for example, moving to the definition of a class or function).
These supplements will appear in the Release candidate version of Visual Studio.
