SharePoint Managed Metadata Service is a SharePoint It is very important to use a wide range of services. some features of User profile Service application and Search serviceapplication depend on it.

to create Managed Metadata Service application , first to Farmadministrator the identity of the login to Central Administration, in the applicationmanagement section, Click Manage Service Applications :

in the Ribbon on the, click New , select Managed Metadata Service application ,

input Managed Metadata Service Application name, and configure a database connection:

Managed Metadata Service application need to 1 a ApplicationPool .

in the Application Pool option, select Create a new Application Pool , enter a name, and then select a Application Pool of the Account . In general, do not share application Poolbetween Service application .

Click OK . Once created, click Manage on the Ribbon to go to the admin page.

Managed Metadata the hierarchy is:

Term store->term group->termset->term->term ...,

You can create one layer at a level by clicking directly.
