Need to know before installing
  • You need to know your current kernel version
    uname -r, such as the output, 4.14.20-2-MANJARO then your kernel version is414
Installing VirtualBox
  1. sudo pacman -S virtualbox
    Here you need to select the same kernel module as the current kernel, such as the kernel version I am using 414 , I need to installlinux414-virtualbox-host-modules
  2. sudo pacman -Ss virtualbox-ext-oracle #安装扩展包You can also go to the official website to download the expansion pack
  3. sudo gpasswd -a $USER vboxusers #添加当前用户到vboxusers
    This needs to be $USER replaced with your user name, and if you do not need to use a USB peripheral, you can do this without doing so.
  4. Restart the system or performsudo modprobe vboxdrv
