MariaDB installation and configuration of the Noinstall version under Windows

1. Download and unzip the Noinstall compressed package, assuming the extract to the D:\APP\mariadb-10.0.17-winx64 directory

(MariaDB 10.0.17 Stable): llarian.net

2. Create Profile My.ini (D:\APP\mariadb-10.0.17-winx64\my.ini)
This file can be directly from the D:\MariaDB directory My-xxx.ini random copy of a change, only need to add a few configuration items, respectively:

[MySQL]
Default-character-set=utf8

[Mysqld]

#程序安装目录
Basedir=d:\\app\\mariadb-10.0.17-winx64

#DB存储路径
Datadir=e:\\database\\mysql
Character-set-server=utf8

3. First start MariaDB

Run Mysqld--console in the D:\APP\mariadb-10.0.17-winx64\bin directory to start the database server in console mode, this step will create the data file and the log file in the E:\database\MYSQL directory ( Also need to copy the MySQL (System table) directory under D:\APP\mariadb-10.0.17-winx64\data to this directory)

4. install MariaDB as a Windows service

Also run under the D:\MariaDB\bin directory mysqld--install will create a Windows service named MySQL, if you already have MySQL will prompt the service name already exists, then you can use Mysqld--install mariad B to create a service named MariaDB, or you can use a different service name.

The service that was created does not start, and the startup type is set to start automatically.

5. the MariaDB after startup has a root user, and the access password is empty.

Change Password method: mysqladmin-u root password "New password"

6. Related fault handling

MySQL 5.5 later in version My.ini [MYSQLD] Item can not write Default-character-set=utf8, but Character-set-server=utf8 otherwise there will be a 1067 error when starting the MySQL service.

Error log path: E:\database\MYSQL\%pc_name%.err

150418 13:09:58 [ERROR] Fatal Error:can ' t open and Lock Privilege tables:table ' mysql.user ' doesn ' t exist

Copy the MYSQL (system table) directory under D:\APP\mariadb-10.0.17-winx64\data to E:\database\MYSQL
