May 2, today, Microsoft issued an official announcement, formally confirmed the acquisition of Israeli touch-screen technology company N-trig Pen Technology. Microsoft started working with N-trig last year, with the latter providing technical support for its Surface Pro 3 products.
In February this year, Reuters reported that Microsoft would n-trig the company for at least $200 million. Eventually, however, Microsoft only acquired the company's pen technology.
Microsoft has paid about $30 million to the Israeli start-up company to get the technology, the Wall Street Journal reported recently.
Stevie Bathiche, a prominent scientist at the Microsoft Surface Team, Stevie Basis the news in his official blog.

N-trig was founded in 1999 and has more than 100 patented technologies in its hands. In addition to Microsoft, the Israeli company has worked with companies such as Fujitsu, Lenovo and Sony.
