2005/09/02 ISA Server
I used Ms proxy 2.0 and later used ISA Server 2000. I want to try ISA Server 2004 over the past few days. The simplified version I downloaded online is not easy to use. The English version is successfully installed. The standard and enterprise editions are also available.
Windows 2003 may be required. The certificate service must be installed in the Working Group, and the DNS and Active Directory must be installed during domain installation.
System and network requirements
To use the ISA server, you must:
- CPU: At least 550 MHz. A maximum of four CPUs are supported;
- Memory: At least 256 MB;
- Hard Disk Space: 150 MB, excluding the disk space used by the cache;
- Operating System: Windows server2003 or Windows server. However, if the ISA Server 2004 server is installed on a computer running Windows server, the following requirements must be met:
Ø Windows2000 service pack4 or later must be installed;
Ø Internet assumer6 or later must be installed;
Ø if you are using Windows 2000 SP4 Integrated Installation, you must install the kb821887 patch (for details about events for authorization roles are not logged in the security log when you configure auditing for Windows authorization manager runtime, can be in http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink? Linkid = 23371 download );
- Network Adapter: a network adapter must be prepared for each network connected to the ISA Server 2004 server. At least one network adapter is required. However, the ISA Server 2004 server installed on a single network adapter computer usually provides an additional layer of application screening protection for published servers or caches content from the Internet.
- DNS server: the ISA Server 2004 server does not support forwarding DNS requests. You must use an additional DNS server. You can create a DNS server in the internal network or use an Internet DNS server.
- Network: before installing the ISA Server 2004 server, ensure that the internal network works properly, so as to avoid some unknown problems.
2005/09/22 Exchange Server 2003
Install IIS, AD, and DNS on Windows Server 2003. Follow the Wizard to install IIS, AD, and DNS. It can be installed in the LAN.
You can manage emails when managing ad users. The client can use outlook or a browser. The browser access address is
Http: // serverdnsname/exchange
You can set a mailbox to receive emails to other addresses.
Set the following settings in Outlook: Add Microsoft Exchange Server to tool-service, enter the full name of the server in the Microsoft Exchange Server text box, and enter the user name in the mailbox text box. If no MX record is set in DNS, emails are sent and received successfully.
Precautions for setting Outlook Express: by default, services such as IMAP4 and POP3 are disabled and must be enabled first. Then, start the protocols IMAP4 and POP3 of the server in the Exchange System Manager. In this way, you can send and receive emails in Outlook Express.

Configuration of ISA and SQL Server
1. configure the SQL Server TCP/IP network protocol using the SQL server network utility tool, enable the TCP/IP protocol, add the winsocket proxy, and set the IP address of the proxy server to the external IP address of the ISA Server. Set the port used by SQL Server.
Note: If the IP address is set to the internal IP address of the ISA server, it will not work !!
2. Create the wspcfg. ini file on the SQL Server:
[Sqlservr]
Serverbindtcpports = 1433
Persistent = 1
Killoldsession = 1
Save the file in the same path as sqlservr.exe. If the port set in step 1 is not 1433, change serverbindtcpports = 1433 to the port set in step 1.
3. Install the fiewwall client on the SQL Server to connect to the ISA Server, find the mspclnt shared directory, and install the fiewwall client. The shared directory is automatically shared after Isa is installed.
4. Restart the SQL Server server.
5. Set the network lat of ISA to add the internal IP addresses of SQL Server and ISA Server to lat.
6. the server publishing rules that sets the publishing attribute uses publish a server, sets a publishing name, and fills in the IP address of the internal server as the internal IP address of the SQL Server server, set the ISA Server IP address to the external IP address of the ISA server and the protoed server protocol to Microsoft SQL Server. Set access rules.
7. Test on the external client to be accessed. 1. Configure the hosts file of the client and enter the external IP address and machine name of the ISA Server.
2. Run ping.exe to test the connection ).
3. Use the SQL Server client or other tools for connection testing. The server name used is the name of the ISA Server.
2007/05/26 Windows Server
The file server has many connected users, which affects the speed. Many users have not used the file server, but have not interrupted the session.
Net config server/autodisconnect: 15
The session cannot be automatically interrupted.
You can use net session/delete/yes to interrupt the session, and then schedule the scheduled interruption of the idle session.
