Brief introduction
This article details the installation process for a full Microsoft SQL Server 2008 on the Windows 7 operating system. Note: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 has some compatibility issues with the Windows 7 operating system, and you need to install the SP1 patch for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 after the installation is complete. The entire installation process is described in detail below.
Installation log
After you start the Microsoft SQL 2008 Setup program in the Windows7 operating system, the System Compatibility Assistant will prompt the software for compatibility issues, and you must install the SP1 patch to run after the installation is complete, as shown in 1-1. Here, select "Run Program" to start the installation of SQL Server 2008.

After entering the SQL Server Installation Center, skip the "plan" content, directly select "Install" in the list on the left of the interface, 1-2, enter the installation list selection.

As shown in 1-3, after entering the SQL Server Installation center-the installation interface, the list on the right shows the different installation options. This article takes a fresh installation as an example to illustrate the entire installation process, so here's the first installation option, "New SQL Server standalone installation or existing installation add features."

After selecting the new installation, the System Program Compatibility Assistant again prompts for compatibility issues, as shown in 1-4. Select "Run Program" to continue the installation.

After entering the "Installer Support Rules" installation interface, the installer will automatically detect the installation Environment basic support situation, you need to ensure that all the conditions before the following installation, 1-5 shown. When all testing is complete, click "OK" to proceed with the installation below.

Next is the SQL Server2008 version selection and key filling, this article with "Enterprise Evaluation" as an example of the installation process, the key can be purchased from Microsoft Official, 1-6.
I am currently installing a: SQL Server Express with Advanced services, which can be selected at the specified available version.

In the license Terms interface, you will need to accept the Microsoft Software License terms to install SQL Server2008,1-7 as shown.

Next will be the installation support prosecution, 1-8, click "Install" to continue the installation.

As shown in 1-9, the following installation will not continue until all the tests have passed. If an error occurs, you need to correct any failures before installing.

Through the "Installer support rules" after the prosecution to enter the "Functional Selection" interface, shown in 1-10. Here you select the SQL Server features you need to install and the installation path.

Disk usage is displayed after the installation Content selection is complete, and can be adjusted according to disk space, as shown in 1-12.

1-13, in the server configuration, you need to specify a legitimate account for the various services.
Click "Use same account for all SQL SERVER Services" and select the account you are using. SQL Server and SQL Server Broeserver are best chosen for automatic startup.

Next is the authentication at the time of the database logon, where you need to specify an administrator for SQL Server, as shown in the system administrator example, 1-14. Authentication Mode Select Mixed mode and enter a password.

Select the default mode in the Reporting Services configuration, which can be selected by the user, as shown in 1-16.

1-17, the error and Usage report interface allows you to choose whether to send error reports to Microsoft.

Finally, according to the function configuration select the environmental inspection again, 1-18 shows.

After the inspection, the software will list all the configuration information, the last confirmation installation, 1-19 shows. Click "Install" to start the SQL Server installation.

Depending on the hardware environment, the installation process may last 10-30 minutes, as shown in 1-20.

As shown in 1-21, when the installation is complete, SQL Server lists the feature installation states.

As shown in 1-22, SQL Server 2008 completes the installation and saves the installation log under the specified path.
