Office Web software is an extension of Office installed on the local machine. Users can access the Office through the Internet through a browser, and Microsoft will disclose detailed information later.
Chris Capossela, vice president of Microsoft Enterprise Department, said that users can choose software installed locally or software based on cloud computing technology. He said that Office is not only a service provided by a browser, but also a downloadable mobile phone software and PC software, which will benefit users.
Kepna said Microsoft plans to release the "Technical preview" Office Web software later this year.
