Microsoft private cloud sharing (R2) 25 integrated WSUS

The integration of WSUS is useful and useless. In fact, it is not so useful. However, the deployment is simple and easy to use, and it is basically no difficulty. Therefore, in the deployment of private cloud, it is recommended that Party B make it standard.

This section describes how to inherit WSUS and infrastructure servers. The next chapter will learn how to use the deployed WSUS

 

After completing the basic WSUS configuration, you can perform subsequent configuration in scvmm2012 R2 to integrate the two for later use.

Step 2: In the structure pane, choose infrastructure> Update Server, right-click and choose add Update Server, as shown in 27-41.

Step 2: In the displayed "add Windows Server Update Server" dialog box, enter the computer name, server port, and running mode account, as shown in 27-42. Note that the WSUS ports under Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 are 8530 by default.

Step 2: After adding the server, you can view the name of the added server on the right side of "Update Server". Double-click the server name to modify its attributes, we can see that here we can modify "Update category", "product", "language", and other information, as shown in 27-43, which basically achieves the purpose of taking over WSUS.

In addition to updating servers, we can also add infrastructure servers through scvmm2012 R2 to implement patch updates for constructing resources (hyper-V hosts, database servers, PXE servers, etc.) through WSUS.

Step 2: In the structure pane, click Add Resource> infrastructure server in the top toolbar, as shown in 27-44.

Step 2: In the "add infrastructure server" dialog box that appears, enter the fqdn of the wsus server, select a running account with permissions, and click "add", as shown in 27-45.

Step 2: After adding the server, you can find that the WSUS server in "Update Server" contains two roles: "Update Server" and "Infrastructure", as shown in 27-46.
