Microsoft released CentOS-based Linux Virtual Machine
Microsoft released CentOS-based Linux Virtual Machine image Linux Data Science Virtual Machine for its cloud computing service Azure. The Virtual Machine is pre-installed with tools such as Anaconda Python Distribution, Computational Network Toolkit, and Microsoft R Open.
It targets data scientists and focuses on machine learning and analysis. Gopi Kumar, Senior Product Manager of Microsoft, said that customers can now access the Linux environment to execute a wide range of data science tasks as needed, this virtual machine image saves the time and effort for customers to find, install, configure, and manage these tools.
