Microsoft may release Hyper-V Server Virtual Technology two months in advance.
Microsoft has said in the past that Hyper-V will be released within 2008 days after Windows Server 180 is released. Hyper-V is still in beta testing.
Windows Server 2008 was released at the end of February. Microsoft may release Hyper-V in 180 if it is calculated based on Microsoft's August days. Dai Vu, head of virtual products and solutions at Microsoft's servers and tools department, said that we don't think Hyper-V can be released in 180 days.
In an interview with the media last week, a senior executive of Microsoft Windows said that Hyper-V may be released in May 6 and July.
Vu said that Microsoft will release Virtual Machine Manager 2008 within 30-60 days after Hyper-V enters the RTM stage. Virtual Machine Manager 2008 is currently in beta testing.
Hyper-V Supports Windows Server 2003 SP2, Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1, Windows Vista SP1, and Windows XP SP3.
