Recently, there was a slightly surprising message, saying that Microsoft will cancel the Aero glass special effects in the desktop environment in the final official Windows 8 version, and then adopt a square Border border similar to the Metro interface.
Remove the Win8 desktop window after the Aero special effect
Aero effects first appeared in Longhorn, the predecessor of Windows Vista, and such translucent Interface Effects Apple OS X was also used (and earlier). In subsequent Windows 7 systems, aero effects are further enhanced and extended to the taskbar. Several pre-test versions of Windows 8 have been used so far, but it is surprising that Microsoft is preparing to remove the Aero interface in the official Win8 version.
So far, the Windows 7 Aero interface has been a good impression on users, indicating that it is a relatively successful improvement. So, why does Microsoft remove it? If you want to find the reason, I am afraid it is difficult to find the exact answer, because Microsoft did not explicitly say that it only recently published a long log on the official blog, about Windows 8 user experience. If you have the energy to read over words carefully, you may find some clues.
To put it simply, this is one thing:
At the beginning, Microsoft designed the Aero interface to focus the user on the main content of the application window, rather than the system interface border outside. This goal remains the same for both the present and future, so the Windows 8 desktop environment you see is basically the same as Windows 7 7.
However, this time, Microsoft improved the window and taskbar based on the principle of being clean and clear: the corner of the window and the icon of the taskbar were changed to a square shape, and the glass and reflection effects were removed; remove the light and color gradient changes on the buttons, remove unnecessary shadows and transparency of the window, and retain only the translucent effect of the taskbar. After these operations, the Win8 page in the image starting with the article will be evolved.
Other common buttons, selection boxes, slide blocks, and Ribbon menus are also adjusted. This includes square corners, removing color gradient changes, and controlling the flattening of the background to make them look more modern.
PS: According to Microsoft's log, the above adjustment changes will not appear in the forthcoming Windows 8 Release Preview, and will not be seen until the official version of Windows 8 is released.
To sum it up, Microsoft thinks that Aero special effects are not clean and clear, so although it is dazzling, it is not suitable for Windows 8, so it can only be left alone. I think Aero is not suitable for Win8 on the tablet. The desktop version of Win8 may be implicated ......
