MinGW installs MSYS by default. Generally, the MinGW Shell is actually MSYS, and MinGW exists as a component.
- MSYS -- Minimal SYStem, is a Bourne Shell interpreter.
- MinGW -- Minimalist GNU for Windows. The Development Environment Based on native windows is not a virtual machine.
Take the MinGW installation root directory D: \ MinGW \ as an example.
1. Mount the File System
Mount to MSYS for ease of use. The new version of MinGW is automatically mounted by default.
Other folders can be automatically mounted in the same way.
Configuration file D: \ MinGW \ msys \ etc \ fstab, one-line mounting configuration. The format of "original path Mount location.
d:\MinGW\ //home/jackon/d
By default, only the first line is supported. Therefore, only MinGW is automatically mounted.
Leave a blank line at the end. Because the manually mounted information will also be written to fstab, And the write will not start from another line.
Note the following when manually mounting:
- 1. All paths must use the '/' in linux format '/'
- 2. Use an absolute path for the target path to be mounted, and ensure that the path exists.
\ Bin directory.

3. Associate vim in windows
In the D: \ MinGW \ msys \ etc \ profile file, point A alias command to a windows executable program.
Note: if there are spaces in the path, use the Escape Character '\'. For example, associate external vim
alias vim=
After vim is started, local configuration files are not used. Copy the vim configuration file to the MSYS directory.

4. Display Control
You can change the configuration information by modifying D: \ MinGW \ msys \ etc \ profile, which is the same as the profile file in linux. Jackon @ windows control display text, \ u use local user name, \ h display host address.
