Mozilla pushes HTML5 to the application market

Fully build an HTML5-based mobile Open Platform

During this Hangzhou event, Firefox engineers closely shared with you the origin and progress of the Mozilla Boot to Gecko (B2G) Project unveiled at the World Mobile Communication Conference in Barcelona at the end of February, we also gave a vivid demonstration at the scene.

The B2G project aims to build a fully open mobile platform based on HTML5 standards, so that users can obtain the functions of smart phones at the price of ordinary mobile phones. It provides new opportunities for application developers, and guides HTML5 as a cross-platform standard. During the activity, engineers introduced the origins of the B2G project and demonstrated the call, text message, photo taking, 3D Demonstration and other functions that have been achieved through HTML5 + JavaScript + CSS. The B2G project provides a new opportunity for front-end developers to run Web apps on mobile phones, tablets, PCs, and other platforms at the same time, this greatly reduces the development difficulty and workload.
