MySQL build library, character set and collation

Generally used in Chinese is the collation of the UTF8 character set and the Utf8_general_ci

Why choose either of these two ways can refer to ~ ~ ~ which post ~ next to find stickers up

Mysql>create DATABASE IF not EXISTS my_db default charset UTF8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci;

#注意后面这句话 "COLLATE utf8_general_ci", which roughly means sorting according to UTF8 format when sorting
#那么在这个数据库下创建的所有数据表的默认字符集都会是utf8了

Mysql>create table my_table (name varchar () NOT NULL default ') Type=myisam default CharSet UTF8;
