MySQL error 1042-can't get hostname for your address Solution

The company's business needs may require a better value of 5.5 for mysql5.1. Therefore, the mysql5.5green edition is downloaded at ftp://ftp.ntu.edu.tw/pub/mysql/downloads/website. Tested in Windows Server 2003 R2.

1042-can't get hostname for your address error is reported during remote connection, and the authorization is completed on the server.

The solution is as follows:

Edit my. ini

Add or modify the following two rows under the [mysqld] node:

Skip-name-resolve # ignore host name access

Lower_case_table_names = 1 # ignore the case sensitivity of the database table name

Restart the MySQL service to solve the problem.
