MySQL ODBC is not in the 64-bit prompt for ODBC driver problem resolution

Cause of the problem:

When an application accesses a database, such as ASP, ASP. NET, VB, LoadRunner, and so on, if the data source is configured in a 64-bit ODBC-driven Configuration Manager, an ODBC-driven scenario may not be found.

This is because these applications are 32-bit applications that do not have access to the data sources configured in the 64-bit ODBC driver Configuration Manager and can access only 32-bit ODBC-driven data sources configured in Configuration Manager.

Workaround:

1. Install the 32-bit ODBC driver.

2. Locate the Odbcad32.exe file in the system tray: \\windows\SysWow64 directory and open it.

3. Configure the DSN in the open 32-bit Configuration Manager and test.
