Northwind and pubs Sample databases installation

Installing the Northwind and pubs databases on SQL Server 2008
1. Download the installation file
: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23654

2. Double-click the downloaded file "SQL2000SampleDb.msi" and click Next to install it in the pop-up box

3. The file is extracted by default to C:\SQL Server, Sample Databases

4. Copy four files to the database installation directory, as

D:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\mssql10_50.mssqlserver\mssql\data
Northwnd. LDF
Northwnd. MDF
PUBS. MDF
Pubs_log. LDF

5. Importing database files
Right-click on step 1:database, select Attach ... Options

Step 2: Click the Add button

Step 3: Import Northwnd.ldf and Pubs.mdf in turn

Step 4: Confirm the import results

6. Import complete, test
