Problem

Recently equipped with a new computer, began to install the node environment, to the official website to download the latest node installation package. Installation is not a problem, but npm install when you use this command, Unexpected end of JSON input while parsing near this exception message appears.

Reason

The latest version of the version is Node.js npm not appropriate for the reason (because it is not before the update is not).

Solution Solutions

npmreduce version to 4.x version

Windowsunder Use the cmd EXECUTE statement:npm -g i [email protected]
Mac systems are similar.
