ODBC connection settings for Oracle database __ Database

First, the establishment of service name
1, select "Net8 Configuration Assistant", select "Local Network Service name configuration."
2, choose "Add".
3. Select Oracle 8i database or service.
4, enter the service name. This is a customized database service name for the remote database, such as "ORCL".
5, select network Protocol "TCP".
6, enter the host name and port name. such as "DB" and "1521".
7, choose whether to test.
8, enter the local network service name, the default is the same as remote. You can enter "Hellodb" and so on.

Second, configure the ODBC
1, add a "Oracle ODBC driver" system data source.
2, enter the name, user name and server. The server is the local network service name, such as "Hellodb", that was created just now.

You can then use ODBC to connect to the Oracle database.
