Office365-Exchange Management 1-log on to outlook with a custom Domain Name

I recently worked on the office365 project and shared some of my office365 experience.

 

First, what is office365?

According to the official statement, Office 365 is a complete set of enterprise-level office cloud services, which not only contains a full set of office applications that you are familiar, it also provides enterprise mail services, file storage, video conferencing, and enterprise websites. No infrastructure investment or flexible deployment is required to meet the IT development needs of enterprises at different stages.

Simply put, from the perspective of IT management, Enterprises originally needed to deploy and use services related to the office series, such as exchange, lync, Sharepoint, and other services, which required a considerable investment in infrastructure architecture. For example, you need to purchase hardware (such as servers and related storage, backup, network equipment, UPS, and other devices) and related software (such as OS license, exchange, lync, and Sharepoint Server license, server OS Cal, exchange, lync connection Cal), also requires a lot of deployment and O & M manpower.

In addition, you also need to invest in software fees to use office client applications such as Word, Excel, and outlook.

The investment in physical infrastructure and material resources of an enterprise is a problem. The investment in deployment and O & M is also a problem. The investment in hardware and software upgrading is also a major problem.

Now, Office 365 has moved these management processes to Microsoft's cloud to provide a software as a service (SAAS) platform. enterprises can directly use these infrastructure without having to manage them. You only need to purchase on demand and pay by year (month.

1. Activate office365

There is a prompt that you need to add a TXT or MX record in the domain name management to prove that the domain name is managed by yourself.

Go to our domain name provider page and enter the TXT record as prompted in domain name management.

4) Add a user to assign a license

Next, you are prompted to add the following records in domain name management.

Here is a brief description of the role of each record:

MX record: the mail exchange record. You can send incoming mails from your domain to exchange online in Office 365 for processing.

Cname autodiscover record: indicates the exchange Automatic Discovery Service. You can automatically find the correct exchange server host and Configure Outlook for the user.

TXT record: helps prevent others from sending spam or other malicious emails using their own domain.

Cname msoid record: used to direct authentication to the correct identity platform.

It takes some time for the domain name to take effect. It takes nearly four hours for the domain name to take effect.

5. Now, change the user's custom domain in the user and group.
