In this test version, Opera introduced the recently developed rendering engine Presto 2.2 for the first time. Compared with the high-speed engine Presto 9.5 enabled in Opera 2.1, the speed of Presto 2.2 is increased to 30% again. Users will experience the fast browsing experience. The new rendering engine of Presto 2.2 will be applied to all Opera 10-based browser products of Opera in the future, whether on PCs, mobile terminals, or other devices.
In Opera 10 alpha, Opera has improved its support for network standards, and provides webpage developers with a series of new technologies to help them better compile webpages.
Other latest functions of Opera 10 alpha include real-time spelling check and automatic update. In addition, the supporting built-in mail client also provides support for writing HTML-format mails.
