At oracle11g, the Enterprise Manager of the client cannot be found. Does Oracle provide enterprise manager? Of course not, but Oracle does not provide enterprise managers in the C/S architecture. Oracle provides an Enterprise Manager with B/S architecture.
Run emctl start dbconsole on the Linux server to start the Enterprise Manager, and emctl stop dbconsole to stop the Enterprise Manager. Of course, you can also view the status of the Enterprise Manager, which requires the execution of emctl status dbconsole.
But after you start the Enterprise Manager, you can access the Enterprise Manager through the web page. The URL is usually displayed when the enterprise manager is started:
[Oracle @ localhost ~] $ Emctl start dbconsole
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control Release 11.1.0.6.0
Copyright (c) 1996,200 7 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
Https://localhost.localdomain: 1158/EM/console/aboutapplication
Starting Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Logs are generated in directory/opt/Oracle/product/11.1.0/localhost. localdomain_myora/sysman/log
So we can see that https://localhost.localdomain: 1158/EM/console/aboutapplication is the access address of the Enterprise Manager. In most cases, you need to replace the host name before 1158 with an IP address for access. If there is no DHCP server in your network, the host name is usually inaccessible.
On the Linux server, you can also view the ORACLE_HOME/install/portlist. ini file to obtain the EM port number, and then use this port for access.
To access the Oracle Enterprise Manager, you must have the select_catalog_role role permission.
If you create a new user, run grant select_catalog_role to user_name; to allow the user to access the Enterprise Manager. However, you do not need to execute this statement separately. Generally, the DBA role also contains these permissions.
