ORACLEBIEE Installation Tutorial

1.1.OBIEE Overview

1.1.1.BIEE history

Biee:oraclebusinessintelligenceenterpriseedition

Oracle acquired Siebel at the end of 05, taking its front-end development tools Siebelanalytics as Oraclebi's new platform. The difference between the original discoverer for the sake of, called EnterpriseEdition, and the original discoverer became standardedition. The combination of the two parts, plus an XE, and then there are so-called standardseditionone. This is the simple origin of OBIEE, Obise and Obiseone.

Oracle received the Hyperion in 07, then took Hyperionbi part of the component, merged to upgrade to the current obieeplus.

1.2.BIEE Installation

1.2.1.JDK Requirements

Download JDK1.5 above version and install it from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp. I'm using a JDK1.6. If it's a copy, remember to add the system environment variable manually, as shown in the following figure:

1.2.1. Hardware requirements (minimum requirements)

Component CPU memory hard disk space

Oraclebusinessintelligenceservercomponents

Oraclebusinessintelligenceserver

Oraclebusinessintelligenceadministratortool

ORACLEBUSINESSINTELLIGENCESCHEDULER1GHZ2GB2GB+2GB (Cache)

ORACLEBUSINESSINTELLIGENCEPRESENTATIONSERVER1GHZ2GB2GB+2GB (Cache)

1.2.2. Download Biee

Can be downloaded from the otnhttp://www.oracle.com/technology/software/index.html or downloaded from the edeliveryhttp://edelivery.oracle.com. But the latter is hard to connect with at home. I'm using a 10.1.3.3.3.

The installation file name under Windows is Biee_windows_x86_101330_disk1.zip, about 1.3GB in size. After decompression, there will be three folders, as shown below:

The Client_ancillary folder contains Briefingbookreader (BIEE provides a save for a report snapshot, the snapshot file is opened using the Reader tool), and an open interface installation file.

The server folder is the installation file for the BIEE principal server.

The server_ancillary is a BIEE desktop component Bioffice and bipublisher that can be used for desktop office synergy and for generating advanced reports.

The components in Client_ancillary and Server_ancillary are independent and theme servers are installed separately as needed.

Note: You cannot have Chinese in the file path of the installation directory and the directory where the installation files reside.

1.2.3.1 Complete Installation Biee

1. Run ~serveroracle_business_intelligencesetup.exe

2.C disk needs 200M, installation disk needs 2G above the disk space, in fact, only occupy space around 1.43G.

3. Select Basic installation, set installation path, try to avoid the Chinese path and directory name in the special characters, installation type General selection of basic, using this type of installation, BIEE webserver will be provided by the ORACLEOC4J component, if you choose advanced Type, You will need to install oracleas10g before.

4. Select Complete Installation, Next

5. Set JDK directory and Oc4jadmin password (also set to Oc4jadmin)

6. Set up service account, keep the default value LocalSystem, password empty, the following types of service are all changed to manual, need to use the time to start manually, or the system startup is too slow.

7. Select the language of the error message, leaving the default value 中文版

8. Before starting the installation, it will be installed first. NetFramework2.0 and vc++2005redistributable, the entire installation process lasted about 30 minutes, but soon found that the progress bar is 100%, patiently waiting. Reboot is required after the entire installation is complete.

After installation, it is recommended that the registry start loading location on the oc4j Delete, need to open oraclebiinteractivedashboards, startoc4j can.

1.2.3.2 Distribution Installation Biee

A distributed installation installs different components on different machines, as in the complete installation method above, when you run to the following screen, you select the components that you need to install, and then install them.

The following components can be distributed to install:

Oraclebusinessitelligenceserver: Install server components.

Oraclebusinessintelligencepresentationservers: Display server components.

Oraclebusinessintelligenceclienttools: Client Tools.

Oraclebusinessintelligencedisconnectedclient:

Oraclebusinessintelligencepublisher:

Custom:

BIEE also has a number of third-party components that work together, not described here.

1.2.4.Logs

The BIEE directory has a number of log logs that can be easily positioned incorrectly, respectively:

1.BI installation log: ~oraclebiloginstall.log

2.BIServer log file: ~oraclebiserverlog

3.BIPresentationServer log: ~oraclebidataweblogsawlog0.log

4.JobManager log: ~oraclebidatajobmanager

5.iBot error log: ~oraclebiserverlogibots

6.Scheduler log: ~oraclebiserverlognqscheduler.log

1.3. Configure

1.3.1. After installation of the directory

After the installation of the directory is very clean, there are two:

1.OracleBI directory to store biserver repository, configuration files, etc.

The 2.OracleBIData includes the report catalog files in Bipresentation and the presentation related profiles.

1.3.2. Several important configuration files

1.~oraclebiservernqsconfig.ini configured The main parameters of the biserver, such as repository, cache and so on. Change this file to restart the Biserver service in order to take effect.

The following configurations are mainly available:

[REPOSITORY] configuration, the default is a demo BIPAINT.RPD, modified to require configuration to the master server repository ***.RPD.

Star=paint.rpd,default;

[Cache] Cache configuration, which is enabled by default, can be changed to no, and is generally changed to no during development.

Enable=yes;

The 2.~oraclebiserverrepository directory is mainly biserver repository files, Biserver can only be loaded in this directory RPD file online.

The catalog folder under the 3.~oraclebidataweb folder contains information such as the definition of the report. The Config folder contains some important configuration files, especially InstanceConfig.xml. It configures some important information about the Bipresentation instance, such as which catalog folder is used. After you modify this file, you need to restart the Oraclebipresentationserver service to take effect.

Path: ~oraclebidatawebconfiginstanceconfig.xml. Need to read it carefully. First Attention:

Foreground report Presentation directory Catalogpath, default is oraclebidata/web/catalog/

C:/oraclebidata/web/catalog/paint

1.4. Preview Demo Effect

1.4.1. Start bi Service and oc4j

First look at whether the following three services are started, if not, to start manually:

Oraclebiserver

Oraclebipresentationserver

Oraclebijavahost

Then start the OC4J service (that is, the startoc4j in the Start program), you may have a warning after running, ignoring the following figure

1.4.2. Open BIEE Dashboard

Open Oraclebusinessintelligence/welcometooraclebiee in the program, click Oraclebiinteractivedashboards, log in with the administrator, The password is also the administrator (set up at the previous installation), and the effect is as follows:
