First, the problem description
The oracle-client side is not installed locally, and because of limited machine resources, you want to connect to the remote database via PL/SQL developer. Simple installation PL/SQL developer cannot connect to the database remotely.
Second, the settlement
First Unified version: Windows64 bit, pl/sql64 bit, download instantclient-basic-win32-10.2.0.5.zip.
Installation configuration: Extract instantclient-basic-win32-10.2.0.5.zip to a folder, requires that the path cannot have special characters such as spaces in Chinese.
Create the network folder under the new directory, enter, create the Admin folder, create the Tnsnames.ora file, and write the following:
Educloud (instance name) = (DESCRIPTION = (Address_list = (address = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = 112.33.2.95 (IP address)) (PORT = 1521) )) (Connect_data = (service_name = Educloud (instance name))))
Note: The Chinese part and its brackets need to be removed.
Enter PL/SQL developer, open Tools, preferences, connect
Specify the Oracle home directory name, the file path of the OCI library, reboot, and enter the username and password.
