ORA-600: internal error code, arguments: [kclchkblk_3/4] The symptoms of the error may be as follows:

  • When the database has been restore from the backup and an incomplete recovery is not completely restored
  • Use the resetlogs option to open a database
  • After opening the database, you may encounter the following errors:
      • ORA-00600 [kclchkblk_4]
        ORA-00600 [2662]
  • The error stack trace is kclchkblk kcbzib kcbgcur ktfbhget ktftfcload.

The cause of this error is:

ORA-600 [KCLCHKBLK_4] is caused by an excessively high SCN on the block in the temporary file ,? The ORA-600 [2662] error is also a similar cause.

This problem may be caused by the incorrect initialization of the temporary file after open resetlogs.

KCLCHKBLK in this ORA-00600 [KCLCHKBLK] represents check block scn after a disk read

ORA-600 [kclchkblk_3] [a] [B] [c]

The error is reported when the block SCN is less than the last block SCN.
Called by the cache layer after reading a block from disk.

The block SCN is checked to make sure it is not greater than the recent
SCN and not less than the last block SCN seen.
