After a few years of Oracle's book, I have a little experience with different books. Many friends let me recommend some Oracle books, below I will say my opinion.
In fact, at different stages, different books will have different effects on you, depending on what you need and what you can accept at this stage.
No matter what kind of book, this stage of the most can let you improve, is a good book. Good book I think should buy back, for making notes page is more convenient, but also to the author's respect. So generally I read the ebook to see good, even after reading, will buy back a copy.
Foreign original books are more expensive, some talk about OWI waiting for events, index is also better, later recommended.
Here are some of the Chinese books I think are worth recommending.
The "massive Data Solution", written by a brother in Korea, stands in the perspective of Oracle database and abstracts out the nature of database access data, which is worth seeing. Quantitative changes lead to qualitative changes, a lot of data in situations where you usually do not pay attention to the place.
Wax gourd head of "Big Big store", although there are some about sectarianism words will let people touch the north, but inside about all kinds of storage and the current cloud computing and other topics, are very thorough. And after reading, you will find yourself on the network model also relive again.
Brother Bird's Linux is certainly the entry level of Linux is necessary, speak in detail, but some wordy, hehe.
"Teach you how to become 10gOCP", is also a domestic now out of print book, said Oracle's nature some speak very good, such as audit, buffer cache and so on more than a lot of books speak well, the author is Oracle before a OCP instructor.
"Oracle Performance Diagnostics Art", written by a Swiss buddy, may not be an introductory book for you, but will inevitably accompany your tuning skills, and you'll find that you need to turn over the book from time to time, and the more you read it.
"High-performance SQL engine anatomy," This is the old cover is a decade to grind a sword of work, I think it is really good tuning reference books, in the implementation of the plan for each operation of the introduction, each consumption is very detailed.
"Plsql from Introduction to Mastery" is a very good plsql book, compared to the Tsinghua publishing house that a lot of good, is the database developers of the body of things.
Some of these books are not recommended for readers.
Top right corner that three, Tsinghua University Press, White red word, feeling is Google translation over, writing is very not smooth, obscure difficult to understand, suggest readers do not buy Tsinghua University Press.
Think twice about the note is not a reference manual, but if you want to do with the data import and export migration and other projects or tasks, can be used for reference.
Lao Gai (Gai) book also read a lot, to tell the truth, the book is more famous than the content of the book. In addition to some of the cases to take a variety of scenes to look outside, and not necessarily so practical value. And some of the book typesetting, editing is really too casual.
"Let Oracle run Faster", this book is more elementary, suitable for beginners. But if you study a friend deeply, it is not suitable to read this book.
I used to ask people what book is best, others will say is online documentation. In fact, it is not necessarily, the online documentation is the product specification, probably explain how you use it, rather than how it was constructed. And Oracle is good at piling up concepts, it's a simple pile of things that are piled up with advanced concepts like the scan in RAC. Deeply researched friends, will certainly feel that the online documentation has not satisfied their needs. Moreover, Oracle sometimes does not want you to understand, after all, is a closed-source product.
Probably say so much, you can pay attention to my micro-blog private communication ha. @DBA_, White boss.
