On April 9, June 2013, Oracle officially released Oracle Database 12C release 1. It is as follows: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html

According to Sina Weibo, a well-known Chinese DBA, guobiao, Oracle 12c has new features supported by LGWR. Before Oracle 12c, if database transactions are frequently committed, it is easy to have serious waits on LOG File Sync. Previously, Oracle database only had one LGWR for LOG writing. In 12c, this restriction is broken. Oracle allows multiple LGWR concurrent writes to reduce the waiting time for log file sync. In the test, logs written at 17 Mb/s can reach 8500 transactions per second.
