To build a WebCenter, you need to build an environment. I plan to write several articles for sharing and recording: database, RCU, Weblogic, WebCenter Portal, WebCenter Content (UCM), and environment configuration.
1. First, you need to install the database. RCU supports IBM DB2 during installation. Here I select Oracle
Share environment Selection: Oracle Linux 5, Oracle database 11G
For the installation of Oracle databases, refer to the official Oracle documentation.
For more information, see:
The key to installation in Linux is to prepare some packages.
2, RCU
RCU is the abbreviation of Repository Creation Utility.
In Oracle Fusion Middleware, many components (such as webcenter portal and webcenter content) will use database objects, and RCU will help us create related schemas.
RCU reference: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/doc.1111/e14259/overview.htm#BABIAFAH
1) select to download RCU
First, determine the version of Fusion Middleware. I chose 11.1.1.6.0. It is more convenient to download from metalink and search directly. For details, refer:
Select the patch for the corresponding platform. If the file name contains windows, windows is supported. If the file name contains windows, windows and linux are supported; pay attention to the version number. Do not make mistakes. Oracle products are both complex and confusing .....
2) install RCU
Make sure that the Oracle database is running normally and run the installation file.
Set the database instance in which the RCU is created:
Click Next to verify whether the database can be connected. After successful, check the prerequisites:
