Environment description
Operating system: redhat6.4 64-bit
Oracle version: 11.2.0.4 RAC (two node)
Disk array: Macro bin 3300e
Problem description
When implementing a RAC cluster years ago, there is only one set of paths in the operating system where the RAC cluster resides, and the other set of redundant paths does not appear, but the RAC can start normally, because the time relationship is not resolved, directly shutdown the server where the RAC cluster resides. Years later to the scene, found that the startup file cluster found this problem, a group of two small heads of fiber exchange on the fiber switch can be, and then start the RAC cluster, found that the stored path mapping more than one set of redundant paths, but the database can not start, error
Ora-01172:recovery of Thread 1 stuck at block 2991 of File 2
Ora-01151:use Media Recovery to recover block, restore backup if needed
Cause: This may be due to storage because it usually shuts down all applications that read and write to the database RAC, and then directly shutdown the database.
Workaround:
Boot the RAC cluster into the Mount state, execute the Recover datafile file number, and then hit the database.
It is recommended that you start the Mount State on one node, then execute recover, ALTER DATABASE open, and then open the other node directly (startup).
